Brigitte Penn is a writer from Malta with a passion for writing crime fiction. In her twenties, she studied and lived in the United Kingdom. Other countries Brigitte  lived in include Belgium and Italy.  Currently, she resides in her home in Malta with her daughter and three adorable dogs. 

Brigitte has a natural talent for rhyming and has written many rhyming stories including humorous ones of pets. Brigitte's hilarious rhyming poem "My basset ran off with my Essay" was published by Poetry Soup in an uplifting anthology by international poets in 2024. The book is now available on Amazon. Brigitte is currently working on a book series of short crime fiction stories for fans of crime fiction. The books will be released before the end of 2025.

If you watched the last episode of The Rookie on T.V. you will remember the introduction of the racoon and the shock Smitty got when he first discovered it in the precinct.

I knew there and then that the raccoon was going to play a big part in the TV episode. It was a well developed ploy to get Smitty to find the mammal and then for this same mammal to end up indirectly saving Smitty's life at the end of the story.

Jack Thorne's recent statement in the news comes as no suprise. According to the author of the Netflix series "Adolescence," the writer quoted the following. He said:

Malta is a small Island in the Mediterranean close to the southern tip of Italy, Sicily. Malta has a rich history. We have prehistroic temples, older than Stonehenge. The Island was once under British rule, but became a Republic in 1974.

Queen Elizabeth II, then Princess Elizabeth and Duchess of Edinburgh, lived in Malta between November 1949 and 1951 in Villa Guardamangia in Pietà, a town close to Malta's capital , Valletta.
